That’s a real dead zone between downtown and mid towns
Are you talking about Atlanta or Senoia, Georgia from The Walking Dead?

People who don't live in the Atlanta area are scared of Atlanta because they are used to their Mayberry town

You have a very strange boner for the city of Atlanta.
I lived there for 14 years, it's a fine place, but it's not Utopia.

He's talking about the area between Downtown and Midtown.
Ate dinner there last night.

Definitely not. All cities have their flaws but it does go to an extreme on here with the overt bashing, most of it not based in reality.

I mean, you're on a site with a lot of New Orleans people and others that just don't really care about Atlanta, so guessing most of the stuff you see is just to annoy the Georgia/Atlanta people.

That is a lot of it, sure, but a lot of it are stereotypes people have of Atlanta that have either been debunked(crime ridden inner city) or just plain false( chocolate city)
To the first point, it was trending the opposite way when Bottoms left office and Dickens took over. He's cleaned it up. And for all his flaws, Kasim Reed ran the city with an iron fist and crime was down his entire tenure.

and I have lived here for almost 50 - wtf is your point? I have watched the city and the metro turn from a ghetto slum shithole to a world class city during that timeframe. Is it the Miami or NYC or Chicago of America? Not yet but it's heading in the right direction.

Rummy brought up a fair point, which is more than can be said for most of the responses ITT

They forgot to add the hood rats walking around in hoodies and face mask to their mock up

You have NOLA confused for Atlanta.
And there are no hoods around that entire area, dumbass.

You can make a case it's already the NYC of the South

Oh yeah my bad.
I meant they forgot the ‘barely’ downlow brothers walking around looking to steal your wallet

You can.laugh all you want.
But Atlanta is trending up with great leadership and vision with gentrification of the city and crime trending down and NOLA is in the fricking toilet with piss poor leadership and crime sprialing OOC.

Even the braves left Atlanta. And no one blames them

They still have an Atlanta address.
And the Braves leaving was a blessing in disguise. That entire area, Summerhill, is booming. You can actually walk there at night without fear of getting robbed or worse.

Then maybe be a little more secure about the town you live in, instead of crying like a bitch anytime someone says something.

New Orleans is the Jackson of Louisiana. It’s literally the worst city in the US with a metro population over 750k.
It’s a shitty Yankee city built in a hot swamp.
