I have to agree. This sounds all good when you are talking about a situation like this in hindsight. But let's not forget that every day mad women go into court and get Restraining Orders against their husbands during a divorce just to use it as leverage for custody. I have read plenty of them and know that when people are angry enough they will just make shite up.

This is a big issue as well with people who want to automatically confiscate every gun a guy has when his soon to be ex wife takes out an Order. I would wager that 95% of guys haven't done a damn thing to deserve an Order being put against them.

How do you determine the good party? Is the person asking for the restraining order always the good party? I bet 90% of restraining order situations you are dealing with a bad party and a bad/ worse party...

In this case, he was already arrested for violating the restraining order.

I'm not talking about a pissed off bitch having one put on her husband b/c he wants to see his kid.
Ronald Green already displayed the propensity toward violence I mentioned.

I've read that this is routine during divorces...just a part of the papers lawyers routinely file. can any lawyers/divorce victims confirm this?

I'm not 100% sure of the relation, but I'm very certain he's connected to them some kind of way.
