Article about Mary Shelley, Frankenstein and Johann Dippel

The mystery still remains to where Mary Shelley came up with the name Frankenstein. Mary may have visited the Darmstadt region during her travels and heard the local folklore of Burg Frankenstein and the German alchemist Johann Konrad Dippel, whose life has a close parallel with Victor Frankenstein in the novel.
