Right, but you were calling people idiots for saying he looked drugged out and said he looked like someone who lost his child.
The kid is dead because he was doing drugs. It's not a stretch to think he was also high in that picture. Probably pretty likely that he was.

There's no way to definitively say either way so I really don't think either side is anything more than a guess.
He looks depressed because his kid died. He looks drugged out because he's a drug user. Both sides have their "evidence."
I'd say he's a drug addict who is depressed because he killed his kid so he's using more drugs to cope.

This isn't a case of the parent took their eyes off the kid for a moment and thought they were still in the house or something. That would be a mistake. This guy was partying with his friends and getting loaded and basically not giving a frick what his kid was doing. He intentionally put the kid in an unsafe situation.
