I have a pillow top and when I got it, it was the most comfortable mattress I have ever had. unfortunately, within about 6 months, the damn thing started to get an indention where I lay...within a year, it sags so bad that I can't sleep on it. unfortunately, you can't flip it over.

my next mattress will certainly not be a pillow top.

memory foam > pillow tops

We got a cheaper mattress that turned out to be way too firm. Spent $125 at Costco on memory foam to put on top of it Perfect ever since, with no sunken spots.

I prefer to buy the memory foam topper from Sam's for $150 or so. That way I can swap it out if needed and use the same mattress.
