God knows we are certainly not. We have 5 year old twins and at this part are good friends co-parenting. We both work well as a team, generally like each other, and have no interest trying to be single again.
It is what it is. I've got 40 or 50 more years in this world to get through then it's finally fricking done.
Jesus man, this depressed me more than OweO's last 3 threads combined.
That's enough internet for me today

We became empty nesters finally back in 2018. shite was lovely and started out real nice but the luster has started to wear off of that.

Post #200. Married almost 30 years. Happier today than I ever have been. Stay together, work out the tough issues and always be straight up honest with your opinion.
this. Marriage is pretty simple if you married a non crazy good person. Talk and communicate. Date and have fun together.
im as guilty of anyone of ruining things when i dont enjoy it but wife does. You have to make a habit of not doing that.
social media is one of the biggest issues along with lack of content across the board.
in the end though, most men would be much happier if they served the family instead of demanding everyone serve them. Women would be a lot happier too if they stayed off social media and did more gagging than nagging.

I expect that we'll handle it fine. We've never been the type of couple whose entire relationship revolved around kids.

I'm happy which makes me think .....wife can't be. That's usually how it works.

We could have been, but what it looked like was more important than what it was.

Same here. Reading these threads actually makes me feel like I won the lottery. Been with mine for 33 years, and it just gets better. Never, ever would have thought this, and kind of prepared myself for it to drop off, for her to get cranky, fat, and the sex to dry up… Nope. Just gets better and better, and really can’t explain it…All I can say is find a real one, one that isn’t crazy, not bipolar ( although, they are fun, and overcompensate for their faults in bed- Do Not Marry) and one from a happy 2 parent home that were also in a Stable relationship. They are out there-good luck!!
