Louisiana law says that the weapon must be able to fire either 7 or 8 rounds (don't remember which) with one pull of the trigger. It doesn't make a lot since the way it is. They are trying to make it align with federal law.
These people aren't using 7 round mags in a 1911. They're modified glocks shooting full auto with an extended mag, spraying dozens of rounds doing a drive by. We all know this.
These aren't 3 round burst devices, they could fire an entire 30rd magazine with a single trigger pull.
Let the feds come enforce their dumb law. If they won't, let people who can actually handle themselves and firearms arm themselves with the same or better.
Why require background check, tax stamp, pre-86 weapons if you're just going to make dumb excuses why you can't prosecute violent crime.

You’d be surprised. Most people seem to think the printers themselves are expensive, when I ask the most common answer is ~$1,000. They are not. Most commonly used printer, the ender 3, can be found on sale at times for $200, and can be used to print an unlimited number of DIAS, Glock switches, unserialized frames, etc.
It’s beautiful. A second chance at the second amendment, if you will. If you aren’t printing your own firearms yet, what are you waiting for?

And to think you used to be able to buy a Thompson via mail order catalog for like $90

I’ve always wanted a fully automatic “machine” gun.
Someone told me that it’s possible to have one if one has a destructive devices license. It’s probably pretty costly.
