Appliance Repair Demand

I bought a four year old house less than a year ago that came with a one year warranty from the seller. Wednesday evening I discovered that the gas oven would not turn on. Gas was getting to the cook top, but not to the oven. I made a warranty claim, and was referred to the appliance repair tech that handles this company's claims.
The inititial visit was set up between 10 and 1 today. I called the guy at 12:30 and was told he was backed up and pushed back between 2 and 4. I live in a gated community and knew they needed access to the gate, so by 3:45 I knew he wouldn't make it at 4 so I called again. He told me it would be 5:30 before getting to me. At 5:30, he called and said an hour out. I told him frick it and let's reschedule for tomorrow. I'm now back on the docket for a 10am assessment 24 hours after the original assessment and this is a 3 hour time slot on a Saturday.
TL; DR, IDGAF. I just want to know if ALL appliance repair companies are this high in demand of if I'm getting the run around here.

Your first problem is demanding anything.

Might be a company that does appliances like that but also does A/C and heat work.

I have not demanded anything. I made the warranty claim at 7am yesterday and was contacted by the local repair company by 9am to confirm their time of 10am this morning.

I've only had one person actually show up to my house for work on time and that was charter. They didn't finish the work but they were on time.
Everyone else has been late.

Or the guy was trying to get a round of golf in today and got a little carried away at happy hour in the club house after he finished 18

Shameless bump just to report that I still have not seen the repairman as of 12:30 today.

I think they are in high demand. They never really know what they are getting into until they get to a job either. That's half of the problem.

Call the warranty company. That guy is an outside contractor. Tell them to send one right away or you'll get your own.

So. All of the bitching you have done on here - have you told any of this to the repair company or warranty company?

You wrote all of that just so you could state this.
Subtle brag.....not so subtle.

He got here at ten after one and is almost finished with the repair. Nice fella and extremely apologetic for the delay. His phone is blowing up during the repair, so the demand is real.

shite, my fridge is out right now (only 8 months old), so they had to send us the parts and we had a tech here today, a little while ago...
only they didn't send one of the parts, and he discovered another couple of parts he needs to finish the job.... he has to come back Tuesday to fix it...
it's been almost a week now that it's out, and i just about lost my shite, but had to remember it's not the tech's fault they didn't send the shite and that it's broke....
