Jackson is a horribly run city but this thing could happen to a lot of places because the maintenance of infrastructure in this country is horribly underfunded.
Bleak failed state shite.

Really sucks for the residents who feel stuck there. Kind of creates a dynamic conditions where stuff goes south quickly.

shite, Memphis has just as good water as BR does.
Memphis has a massive sand aquifer below it.
Memphis water is about the best tap water you will find in a large city.

She's actually right about this. The inequality is between the very small number that actually pay their bills and the shitload who don't pay their bill

New Orleans S&WB taking notes.
For some reason this never happens in areas ran by people that are not from the it’s (D)ifferent party.
Baton Rouge, gets its water from a private water company. Big difference is they cannot give everyone even the janitor a bloated salary for doing nothing.

I still have water, but the water pressure was low yesterday. There is no funny color or smell but i'm still going to use bottled water till they figure this bs out. I feel bad for the restaurants -most popular ones had to close yesterday.

Mississippi received $429 million last year in federal infrastructure funds specifically for water lines & pipes.
What happened?

Mayor has blamed the failures on everything under the sun but, it's his lack of leadership and his administration for not keeping up maintenance on the main water treatment plant. Jackson has been under boil water notice for like 4 weeks now I think.

Are they having the same issues though? Arizona and Nevada have something in common that Mississippi doesn't...they're in the fricking desert

Unless I missed it - 8 pages and no one has questioned the situation’s effect on crawfish prices. WTF?
