It's just weird. A grown adult shouldn't get fricking a 15 or 16 year old, not to mention the power of that person having of being a teacher over them.

Nowadays it's taboo. Years ago it was ignored or swept under the rug. Probably because of the maturity(or lack there of) of students these days. Not to mention the parents maturity these days.

It's always been wrong, illegal, etc. Social media and ease of information just puts it out there more for people to know. It's astronomically worse as a teacher/coach because you have power over them in more than one capacity. I agree that this has always been happening as I've seen it and heard about it from numerous places, namely coaches. You think you are old enough to make those decisions but you aren't. There's also the possibility of drug and alcohol supply within these confrontations.
