Both local GMC dealers have them on lot. Chevy deal just sold it's RST I think.

Denali looks better imo.

No way to dispose of them and they are very heavy.

The storage unit? There’s already a few companies working on secondary life for used BEV batteries. Most will end up in shipping containers hook up to the grid load management.

Explain this please.

I know at one point a concern was what to do with all the batteries as they die and cannot be recharged. We cant just keep throwing them into a big hole.

The current commodity disappears into the air, almost as if God wanted us to use oil.

yeah I went from a ram 2500 megacab with rambox to a 1500 high country silverado. talk about a step down. the ram infotainment is way ahead of chevrolet. everything with the ram was designed better and more efficient. I honestly cant wait for this ramcharger to come out so I can swap back to a RAM.

Not really as big an issue with the current BESS tech. You have two types of issues, unit failure and degradation. The vast majority will only deal with degradation because cell and unit level failures are pretty rare. So for 95%+ you just end up with a fully functional unit thats degraded to 50-70% of the original capacity. And what you have is something like 30-50kWh of stranded storage capacity that will still function fine and has value. Companies (like B2U) will buy those and put them in a container and hook them up to existing utility scale generation to either rate arbitrage or increase availability when demand is lower and deploy when it's higher. The biggest reason we don't see much of this yet is because there just haven't been enough BESS units in the secondary market yet so the business case isn't there for anything other than pilots. That's obviously going to change. The coolest part of this is that it will basically create a core type program where when you get a new BESS unit installed you'll get a credit format he sale of the existing one, i assume based off the available capacity since it's sold on a $/kWh basis.

The for the small percentage of failed units that are not salvageable, we'll start to see recycling become more popular.

I used to drive a 2004 avalanche z71 that did not have the plastic siding below the door (best looking imo)

Looked like this. I’m also 90% sure they had a 2500 version but rare

Best truck ever and I wore the hell out of it. Used 4WD weekly, towed boats, rangers, put 4 wheelers in the back bed with the seats down all the time. Never failed me. Sold it to a family friend with 285,000 miles and they still drive it. Has to have close to 500k on it now.

I test drove an early body style 2500 with the 8.1. Was a North Face Edition. Don't think I have seen another.

Stuck with the Silverado at that point and got an Avalanche in the newer body style.
