Worked with a retired Navy guy that was stationed up there and lived there for 22 years. He said it's one of the most beautiful places you could live (once you actually get out of the city) with some of the worst people imaginable.

I’m sure you did your research but yeah if you have kids and need to be in good schools with 3b 2b it’s tough for 600k. No shame in renting till kids get established and you find out if you like the area or not
