I once hit five out of six numbers on the Louisiana Lottery and won $1540. At the time my total debts were $1400 so I paid them them off and bought a Nintendo system. Life was good.

Yeah, I would pretty much do this. Everyone who freaks out that people will know your name is overreacting. Yeah....I probably wouldn't keep the cash in a duffle bag and stay living in a trailer park, but I'm also not worried for my life.
And as far as people coming out of the woodwork to borrow money....I was known as an a-hole before, I certainly don't mind keeping that streak going.

Some other friends of friends in Roswell NM won a multi-million dollar payout from the lottery a fews years ago. Personally, my biggest win in the lottery is about $5.
