Yeah she is in her mid 60's and just found all this out because of the test. She reached out to the family AncestryDNA says she's related to but they will not communicate with her. In fact they lawyered up.

A bit frustrating for my mom because two of the men that could be the dad are still alive even though they are in their 90's.

I assume they think she has ulterior motives but she legit just wants to know. I think a lot of her motives have do with the fact that the man she thought was her dad was a drunk POS that abused her.

There's nothing she can do about it so she's trying to just be at peace with it and move on. I feel pretty bad for her.

AncestryDNA doesn't differentiate between Italians, Sicilians, and Greeks.

and yes, Sicillians have genetic contributions from all over.
