I order from prime at least once a week and unless it specifies longer when I order it always gets here in two days.

They waited until Wednesday to even ship it from somewhere up north, but it still got here Thursday.

It was shipped before that. They just wait to add the pickup receipt so they can look like they meet Amazon's shipping timeframe.

Cancelled my prime. Amazon delivery and customer service have gone to shite. It's also no where near the cheapest and there is a big concern over counterfeit merchandise.

I'm giving walmart+ a trial run.

For the past couple weeks, "Prime" has at the earliest been delivering in 5 days. About to order again and it says delivery is for this Friday. I'm guessing....low staffing????

I haven't had Prime for a few years now. It was getting that way, way before COVID. 2 day delivery was getting uncommon before COVID. I dropped Prime, still order stuff, select free shipping, and get it in about the same timeframe as I was when I was paying for 2 day shipping that never seemed to happen.

I get stuff usually same or next day. If it’s delayed, they’ve been known to refund me and have let me keep it.

I've had USPS lose several amazon packages in the past two months, but that's probably a discussion for a different thread.

I had three packages returned today by the USPS saying they were undeliverable. I get packages and mail all the time, but I think the Sunday employee is lazy.

Got a delivery yesterday after 4 days. Was supposed to be two days.

I’ve noticed it in the last week or so. Are you here in Louisville? It’s usually pretty on the spot with two day.

Supply chain is fricked for everyone right now. I hope you don’t need a forklift

Is it?

Because all I see is a bunch of companies including Amazon that need the supply chain making literally unprecedented record profits.

Must be a pretty big lie you have been sold.

NYTimes reader or something?

I call on just about every business from mom and pop warehouses to massive 3PLs for Amazon. Every single one of them is bitching about lead times on something

Now, I will still order from them. But I save up my purchases to get free shipping and order all at once. (In the meantime, I shop local and online stores and remove anything from the cart that can get me the product as fast as Amazon).

Good strategy. But when I tried that (cancelling Prime, even before the shipping got slower) I'm convinced they arbitrarily delay fulfilling your order. Forget shipping speed, I think there's deliberate and arbitrary pain/delay inserted into the fulfillment process.

I just placed an order on Friday that's supposed to be here Wednesday. Taking Sunday out, that's 4 days, not two. And this is "normal" these days.

I just "paused" my membership, which means it will not renew and not be charged (how that's different from "cancel" i don't know).

Yes. I’m not saying they are always late. What I’m saying is less and less of their products are available for 2 day delivery. I ordered a pack of paper towels Saturday for example, it’s not arriving until Thursday.
