My 15 month old just had it a couple weeks ago. The skin blisters look gross but are pretty harmless.
She had blisters in her mouth that caused her to not want to eat so we fed her a lot of cold baby food.

also known as Coxsackie Virus.
My son had it at 11 months old and ran a 106 fever, along with painful blisters in mouth and diaper area.

I had it in my 20s. Blisters right in the back of the throat. Constant pain for 12 days straight, and worst part is, there's nothing you can do about it. Chloraseptic and popsicles stuck on the back of my throat were my only relief.

I got it. Went through all my kids and they powered thru it, but somehow I incredibly got it and it was absolutely terrible.
First night, there was some tingling in one of my fingers. A tiny blister formed by one of my nails. Then another. Then another.
That night around midnight I woke up with 102 fever. When I woke up the next morning there was hundreds of blisters on my hands and feet. Over the next few days I ran a high fever and the blisters on my feet literally felt like I'd walked barefeet through catlitter and skin had somehow formed over it.
There's no cure. It just has to run its course. Took 3 or 4 days but the blisters eventually went away and I was back to 100%, almost immediately.

Mine had it. It was awful. He was hungry and thirsty but every time he tried to take something by mouth he cried from the pain. He’s had two surgeries and they were a breeze compared to hand foot and mouth

This is not accurate.

Make sure you are washing your hands like crazy and disinfect dirty surfaces and soiled items. To prevent it spreading to others.

. I think it's a one and done virus, so I'm guessing we both got it at some point as kids.
It isn't
Both of my grandsons have had it twice and they are 5 1/2. Both had it when they were 3 and both currently have it.
