quote:I would be pissed if I was this guy. Three weeks ago I literally traded in a 2013 Tundra with 125000 miles for $25,000 flat.
There is so much bull shite in these responses. He said, my BIL said, my neighbor said they got $30.000 for a truck they bought new for $32,000, 6 years old. 3 weeks ago I bought a 2021 4Runner, TRD Off Road, maxed out. Stickered for $42,500, I got it for $38,500 Traded a 2013 Tundra, immaculate, 150,000 miles. They gave me $13,500 BBV $12,500 to $16,000 But here my Tundra was worth $28,500 Bull shite...........

Are new truck prices keeping pace with used? I see no point in trading in if the new one will also come with an inflated price.

For fun, as I am in no way interested in selling my truck, I plugged in my VIN to Vroom and Carvana.
Carvana offered me just under $44K, while Vroom offered me $42.9K.
I compared that to NADAGuides and an average trade-in for my truck in good condition is $50K. I don't know how accurate this is as I paid right at $58K for my truck 2 years ago - not sure if any dealer would approach this number even with supply as limited as it is.
I like my truck. I splurged on it when I bought it. But it's a truck that I plan on keeping for a very long time as it has all the technology, bells, and whistles that I could want at this time.
