That is your standard?
Scruffy has relatives that he cannot stand and hopes he never has to interact with again, but under no circumstance would he ever make an ad like that against them.

Exactly this. I think that ad says more about the guy they’re endorsing than their brother.

Wut???
Think about how shitty you have to be for your SIX siblings to publicly endorse the opposing candidate

Think about how shitty of a person you are to air that out on TV?
And to be perfectly ok with wedging yourself in the middle of family drama.

Could be worse. You could be related to Pelosi or Feinstein..

if you genuinely think they are a terrible human being then doing nothing while they get elected would be horrible

find out your brother is a serial killer? better keep that shite to yourself?

Obviously that would be different. This guy is an previously elected official. I doubt if he’s a serial killer.

here isn’t a kooky, crazy, nutty thing that he isn’t a part of,” he said. “What are we supposed to do?” David Gosar said he doesn’t talk to his brother much anymore. The split came around the time of his congressional run, when he said his brother told him he believed the “birther” theory that President Barack Obama’s birth certificate is fake. (A 2010 clip from Politico quotes Paul Gosar as declining to say whether he believed Obama was born in the United States, saying it was “for the courts and for other people to decide.”) “I was like, ‘Oh my God, you have to be kidding me,’ and then he went and got elected,” David Gosar said. “I’m not going to break bread with a racist.” Paul Gosar did not respond to a request for comment sent to his spokeswoman, but on Saturday, he tweeted that the six family members are “liberal Democrats who hate President Trump.
This is all about about politics. There’s a lot of things my family do that I don’t agree with but I would never go on National TV and disown them over politics.

I’ve got an older sister who I’ve pretty much don’t talk too because she’s such a shite starter

What else would he be so inclined to do? That’s family. You don’t ask family to do such a thing and even if they came to him, he should have stood up and said no.
Sadly politics is a cut throat game and if you don't do whatever it takes, your opponent will and all the time and money spent on that election will be for nothing.
Ideally there would be some type of ethical line you don't cross, but in reality anything becomes a target and you have to fight fire with fire.

It seems like the Gosar guy is one of 7 kids... And all 6 of his siblings were in the ad giving their support to the other guy.

Didn’t you run for office?

Geez. That dude must be a real shitbag
If you dig past the HuffPo and CNN headlines you see that he comes from a family of 10 kids in Wyoming.
Both parents are very conservative and 4 of the siblings are very conservative.
The liberal kids in the family just caught a bad case of TDS and ever since Trump won they have been trying to undermine their brother. Typical liberal playbook, he is a racist, he is a misogynist, he is a Nazi, etc.
He also attacked Soros last year so there is a 99.9% chance that these ads are a result of that. Soros is nothing if not a vengeful bitch.
The district he is running in is a red district and his opponent has no chance of winning. These ads are nothing more than an attempt of the hateful left to take advantage of a MSM that pushes propaganda to morons.
And it worked.

Yes..
And I probably shouldn't post this, but whatever.. I had a few "tricks up my sleeve".
I was one of 6th candidates and when I first announced I was running people were telling me "you better prepare yourself because there is a good chance you could finish with the least votes". I ended up in the runoff and I wasn't nearly as aggressive as I was in the primary. Not saying that's why I lost, but it didn't help.

There are people I know IRL who reads the board from time to time. A few will come here just to see what kind of bullshite I am posting.. And every once in awhile I get a text about something I posted because they think that some of the reactions I get are funny...
While I am open about several parts of my life, there are other parts I prefer to not discuss on the board. People who know me and read the board, interprets my post a lot different that how most of the board interprets it so it's not really a big deal to me. But I prefer not to give away my "secrets" on certain things.
