NO question. Most of the veteran guys I worked with when I started as a teen were doing it as a 2nd job and in a time where the economy was pretty solid. Guys were making about 7 bucks and hour plus tips to supplement their other jobs. I swear sometimes I wish I could conjure up enough energy to do it 2 days a week and make an extra 200-300 just to deliver goods to nearby houses.

The same thing the cost of extra cheese pays for. It pays for cost of making a pizza and bringing it to your door. The store pays us 1.40 per delivery and it always has. That number has stayed fixed while the delivery fee has increased from 1.00 to 2.50 in the past 8 years.

An across the board price increase would hurt business, so they nickel and dime you to death with other things. And this is an industry wide trend. I hate it but it just costs more to employ these days (not that they get paid any more).
