Anyone else mailed their tax forms and not had their check cleared?

Mailed both of mine to the Fed and the Dept. of Revenue of MS. The Fed cashed my check after ten days but nothing from MS. I mailed them both on time and at the same time using standard USPS postage. I find this concerning. I plan on calling tomorrow and worry I sent it to the wrong address or it was lost.
Any other advice? Will someone there work with me on this? What are fees if I am found to be late?

Mailed mine April 18th and the IRS cashed about a week ago, state a few days ago. Seemed slow, considering all the remote deposit technology. Wouldn't expect efficiency from the government though.

They will not work with you, forget that. Are you opposed to that wacky e-file the crazy kids have been talking about?

sounds to me like you'll soon be relocating from the quaint town of oxford...to the quaint town of Parchman...
ETA: I filed around the first of April and my check to the state of MS cleared on May 02

What's your email address? I'll send you a copy of my return along with a picture of me balls deep inside of your boyfriend.

My state check definitely cleared. I can't remember if my federal check did.

Some people have more complicated taxes than your 1040ez. Typically because we're making more money and stuff.

I had to mail my tax forms bc somebody stole my social security and was working at a sanitation co in wisconsin which apparently has a history of letting these illegals work on stolen ID's. The IRS sent me a pin number and I lost it somewhere so my CPA couldn't file online for me and the IRS hotline wouldn't give me the pin bc they couldn't risk not knowing if I was really me on the phone.....

To my knowledge, I haven't received my MS tax return, which was filed and accepted last February.
