The hose was designed to run water through it. So you would say that you’re running kool aid through the water hose.

No, you’d say you’re washing your truck with the water hose. Not the water hose pipe.
Just like if I’m using the hose to fill my pool, crawfish pot or water my garden. Just say water hose. Not water hose pipe.
