My mother-in-law gets super sensitive over stuff like this with her daughter. Her daughter's inlaws are a much bigger family and they plan way in advance when holiday get togethers will be, leaving my mil to basically work around their schedule. It's caused rifts between my sister in law and her mom.
Seeing their drama makes me glad I don't have to worry about that dilemma. Of course...the year I'm actually off work for a holiday and decide we go to LA to visit my family and not see his at all...I know will cause drama with his mom.

Had this argument last year. We ended up fighting for 3 hours, going to neither parent's house, getting drunk at our place and having crazy makeup sex. frick I love that woman

My wife's Jewish, so we don't have that problem.
