Jonny Quest was the greatest Sat a.m. cartoon.
Characters with disabilities were appropriately evil (e.g. the wheelchair old man with the maniacal Pteranodon). Shifty foreigners and ignorant tribesman abound.
On a more serious note, the music is first rate - well composed and performed by the best jazz band in L.A. It was expensively done, so much so that they had to start cutting corners in the late episodes.
