Just thinking out loud here but have you ever heard of anybody getting a job working nights and weekends doing medical coding or some shite like that online? Is this a thing people do? Seems like a good way to make some extra money.

You do realize you have to have special training to be a medical coder? Think it’s like a 2 year associates program.

Yes. I have done it. Medical record cleanup stuff.

Do you have any questions?

Medical coding is just an example. Data entry type job is the point.

I've been thinking about P2P lending.

My wife (gf at the time) was bff with a girl who's older sister was vp of the company.

The industry is there but it is very exclusive. Hiring is done through friends and family, or vouched recommendations.

Also, it sucks. It isn't as fun as you think it might be.

Yeah kind of figured. I had a job copyediting deposition transcripts remotely when I was just out of college that I got through a friend of mine and it was a similar kind of deal. Boring, mindless work but easy money at the same time.

Once every few years I help some buddies with computer stuff. Typically they think up a job and need help rigging playing card machines, security cam feeds, etc. Pay is really good, except it’s getting kind of crowded and cutting into my cut. Like, we started with 11, then 12, and last job was 13 people.

Think I'll pass.
