Anybody else have trouble clipping nails with their "off" hand?

I'm right handed, and every time I clip my nails on the right hand I struggle getting clean, straight clips using my left hand.

Is this a problem for anyone else?

Any tips to improve this?

There's a guy on Craigslist that will do it for you. He just asks that you let him keep the clippings.

Because of the potential of a classic, obvious Owlie switcheroo - I've quoted your original question.

Not really - I get what you're saying - it's a little awkward, but no big deal. Since clippers are relatively cheap, I tend to keep a new, sharp pair most of the time.

They say doing things like that is good for you - causes your brain to stay young trying to create new pathways and such. I try to brush my teeth with the off hand a few times per month.

move your fingers rather than the clippers when using your off hand to clip.

No, I can clip my nails just fine with either hand. I'm amphibious.

No but i clip my nails on my dominant hand first to get the hard hand out of the way. Once I finish that I know it's smooth sailin from there.

The key is hold the clip steady with your off hand and move your fingernails into position as needed with your more dexterous good hand.

Dna seems to give the off hand the job of holding big stuff, while fine motor skills reside in the "right".
I broke my hand in a fist fight when i was 10. Was pounding knots on some bigger guy who butted in line when i hit him after he fell and got his forehead. Learned to write left handed. Play ping pong left handed. My asswipe teacher gave me grief for bad penmanship while wearing a cast. That was homer referee.
