I take it back. You may be an alcoholic.

I've posted about it on here before. I'm a unicorn I guess. I was a raging alcoholic that mostly stopped on my own. It took a close family member attempting suicide and having my daughter by myself to sober me up. I'll never go back there hopefully.

truth is I just dont understand addiction, so while I may joke I dont judge.

I like chocolate, esp this ONE cupcake at a shop near me. i treat myself once a week
I enjoy it, its just too much but I still eat the last bite.
But I also make sure i get to the gym 3 days a week minimum I purposeful park further away at the store, take the stairs when I can.

for those that have the devil on your back and no way to compensate,, I just don't get the struggle, but in all sincerity admire those that have overcome

to all of you I say

Just to be the equalizer here not everyone is going around downing a quart of vodka a day. Couple beers or a finger of bourbon at night not that big of a deal.

I had one drink about 18 mos ago. Other than that it’s been over 10 yrs. I just don’t like it enough to pay that much money. I’d rather an ice cold glass of water or milk. A nice sweet tea is an enjoyable drink also.

Pretty sure we’ve crossed paths irl based on your age, HS attendance, and the aforementioned alcohol problem.

Possibly so. I drink a little bit now. I love a glass of red wine with a steak. I love drinking two glasses before I go to sleep. It took me until 35 or so before I realized that I have an addictive personality and that I can't regulate it like most people.

Yeah, I haven’t had a drink in ~6 years. Stopped being fun, and caused more problems than it “solved”, so I stopped and haven’t looked back.

Drugs > Alcohol, IMO. JMHO.

Nice post owlie.

I also don't judge. Just because I had a problem and no longer drink, doesn't mean anyone else does or has to do what I've done.

Theres all types of drinkers.
Theres all types of ways to stop.
