Any recent recipients of eye surgery?

Anyone on here recently get any of the eye surgeries available? I need to get mine done soon. How much was it ? How much pain did you have? How has you vision been since you have had it done? My contacts are -5.5 in both eyes if that matters.

How old are you? I ask because I am a little less nearsighted and now that my friends need readers I don't know if I am not weary by contacts. Just mentioning that in case you are nearing your 40s

I'm not sure I remember how much it cost. It was a little painful. But being able to see clearly without any contacts/glasses made it definitely worthwhile. Good luck!

I had LASIK at 24 just before I deployed to Iraq in '04. I'm 20/20 in my left eye and 20/25 in my right because of an astigmatism. My prescription was about the same as yours is.
I would have paid $10k an eye after the results I had.
