So, if you are from a family with money or one of the few who receives a scholarship, then you should go to college. Everyone else should be forced into obtaining draconian loans that cannot be paid back on the starting salaries most will make.

Again, lower the price of education and encourage alternate routes.

Those who have already made shitty decisions on loans can deal with it like they agreed to when they signed for it.

I do not feel like my student loan is unjust, but then I have principles and accept responsibility.

I didn't go through the student loan process, but I've read quite a bit on the internet about how applicants are duped into getting student loans that are far beyond their ability to repay. These are 18 year olds who aren't wise about finance, and they basically are scammed by the colleges into getting these large loans.

You're reading some bullshite.

I think the 6.8 and 6.9% rates are too high, but I do what I need to do to pay them off. Come on 2022

Responsibility is for Quakers. Just have some rich guy pay it off for you... pass it off as an equalizing of income.

I have a simple stance, don't forgive them entirely...but if someone is willing to go through the burden, let them be written off under bankruptcy

I knew what I was doing when I signed up. My wife and I are paying about $1k/month and being pretty aggressive about paying them back. Completely worth it. I honestly wish I would have taken out more and not worked as much

I do think it's wrong that the government can profit of its citizens though. Should be at cost
