I want to try Rotart but it was $275 an hour, fixed was $135 at the time.

An instructor costs $50/hr, if you are willing to fly a 150 it can be cheaper. I always flew the 172 because the 152 felt too small. Then I liked the piper better. Though everyone having to climb up the wing and enter through the passenger door kind of sucks.

That's exactly what I want. Though I would home out of AMA because it's only $75 a month to park.

I guess they dont have weight standards any more.

no, they don't, there was a time when there were standards that they had to meet to get hired, and were supposed to maintained, lawyers, liberals, and SJWs did away with that a long time ago

A lot of plane repair is a, racket.
You have engines based on 1950's designs more VW bug than anything else. Yet an oil change is in super car territory.
Seems like the best money saver is to get a mechanic license as well.

 phobia about single engine planes.

There are some twin engine planes that might as well be a single engine plane with twice the chance of engine failure.

I think a Beech Duke or a twin Comanchee may fall into that catagory. Twin jets/turboprops will definitely be situational.
