Lafayette has Acadiana RV and Campground on E. Alexander. Allows tent camping. Has a nature trail and frisbee golf course. Even though you're in Lafayette, you don't notice it. You're in a small forrest. Nice quiet get away. It's $28 a night. Egan has Hidden Pines Campground. RV only. Has a pool for the kids. They usually have a band on Friday or Saturday and kornhole competition the other night. $50 a night.

Sam Houston Jones state park. Here in Moss Bluff, few miles north of Lake Charles, to my knowledge is fully open.
