I had no idea it was in the pipeline. Checked my bank account and boom there it was.

Lines at the Gucci and Nike stores in Lenox are going to be out of the door tomorrow.

Nothing helps run away inflation like more government hand outs. Politicians are pandering arse holes.

It really is like they look at a situation and do their best to figure out a way to make it worse.

“Hey look, we have runaway inflation and supply chain bottlenecks. Let’s do a stimulus to get people to spend more money buying what little stuff there is on the shelves.”

Another cash for clunkers is probably right around the corner.

Many states are actually temporary suspending gas taxes due to the price of fuel. One of the only art things I've seen in the last few years.

This $250 payout/refund was from a revenue surplus. I would rather have Kemp refund my money then have the government keep it. But that's just me.

Why give everyone a flat $250? How about giving the people who funded the surplus their money back? That’s a novel fricking idea.

Well, some of that surplus was money that i had paid in taxes. Same goes for my wife. That'll be $500 back in our account. Yup, it's a pretty novel idea. Kemp's been pretty novel as a governor. He also suspended the state tax on gasoline when the prices spiked in February. That reprieve is supposed to sunset at the end of this month. When/if it does our gasoline will increase by $0.29 at the pump overnight. He's working with our state legislature to find a way to extend the state tax break on fuel despite losing about $150M per month in state revenues. I don't dislike Perdue, but Kemp has been a pretty solidly conservative governor. (Any issue regarding the shenanigans that took place in Fulton (and possibly Cobb and Gwinnett counties) rests fully upon Sec. of State Brad Raffensperger whose duty is to certify elections or declare them void or compromised. In the state of Georgia the governor has no authority regarding the certification of elections.

Anyway, Kemp refunded surplus monies rather than keeping these funds in government coffers to be spent on heaven-knows-what. I'm not gonna nit-pick how it was done just to have something to complain about.
