Went to all the local jewelers in town, kay and zales and didn’t see anything good. Seems like it would be better to custom make one. Plus they have some good deals

A website for engagement rings

Bought my fiancé’s loose diamond from there then got it set at Ramsey’s in a setting from there.
Can definitely do better on the quality and price of the stone by buying separately online. Pricescope forums were a good source of information on what to look for in a stone.

In my experience, regardless of quality or value, if it’s from Vera Wang / Zales, she’ll be ecstatic over it.
That being said, I only deal with local jewelers I know in person.

Mine is being custom made
I couldn’t find what I wanted anywhere so I designed it

I highly recommend looking through on Etsy of all places. Brilliant Earth is good for loose stones but I feel their settings are overpriced.

Where are you located? I've got a guy at who won't screw you over on price (relatively speaking, diamonds are a scam no matter what) and will have a ring custom made for you.

We got my ring from James Allen. I looked at BE, but their settings were overpriced.
I couldn’t find anything locally that I really liked (I had something specific in mind). I loved being able to pick my exact stone, and they had my dream setting.
Yes, I know it’s anticlimactic to pick my own ring, but whatever. I’m old & this is a 2nd marriage. He made the proposal sweet.

I second James Allen. Actual pictures of your diamond, not stock photos of similar diamonds.
