Craigslist and Backpage ads for anything and everything with her name and address, but include some crazy instructions like "must come by in person, knock loudly three times, then say I'm here for the gangbang" when she opens the door.

The second she starts pestering you pull out your phone and record her. Don't say anything, just ignore her and record. See if she goes away. If not, collect a couple weeks worth of footage. Go to the HOA with it. Give it a week and see if they do anything. If that doesn't work, go to the police with the footage.

If that doesn't work, keep recording her and maybe you can file harassment charges and get a restraining order on her. Then anytime she does it you can just call the cops and have her arse hauled off while you laugh and drink beers in the backyard.

Evidence. get a security camera that records audio

Not legal in Louisiana unless you have signs that state you are recording audio.
I do business with security consultants here in Texas. I will get advice on this immediately and start recording as soon as possible. I promise the board if I catch her arse up on that ladder and can record the audio it WILL be posted for your enjoyment and pleasure.

You sure about that?

Yes in Louisiana only one party has to give consent.

If you are present, you are the consenting party and can record conversations that you are privilege to.

Team up with other neighbors and start recording. Report and complain all the illegal things she does, as minor as they may be.

I'd also say enough is enough. Let her know that you are tired of her and either she leaves you alone or you will go out of your way to do all the things she continue to complain about that are actually legal..

Oh and someone said something about recording audio and being illegal. I don't believe that is true here.. Only one party has to consent and that's you. Any ways, here's some of the research, but I am sure others can interpret it better..

How friendly are you with your other neighbors and have any of them had run-ins with her? Instead of only putting cameras up on your house you might ask a neighbor if they would work with you and let you put a camera from a neighbors house where crazy woman wouldn't notice it.
All the other neighbors are cool. We have all discussed getting new fencing. My neighbor behind he said he'll pay for a new fence since I put up the original fence in 2001. The other said he'll split the costs with me.

You're a very patient person. I would've started cursing her our and acting incredibly rude to her every time she spoke to me at this point. Maybe push her to a point where she crosses a line and I can have her arrested.

Seriously though there is some good advice in this thread. Despite how much of a pain it might be just start documenting things the best you can.

Good luck!

I can't understand why she is divorced.

Forget the police. You need to call a therapist for her

Woo!

I've been TOLD!

It's simple-

If you live in a neighborhood with covenants, obey them.

If you don't like them, either move or get the HOA to change them.

So instead of working with me and me paying half, she went ahead and contracted and paid for her own fence, which she had installed one-foot inside her property line. That was a month ago.

Ask she provide proof, in writing, that the fence is one foot inside of her property line. If she refuses, start killing the grass until she does. Once she does provide proof, stop maintaining the grass on your side, and don't allow her into your yard to do it herself, citing that you do not want her on your property. Every two to three weeks call and complain about the condition of "her" yard. Finally, enjoy watching her try to cut it from her side of the fence until she takes the fence down.

Do something to get her to put ladder up and start bitching at you. Climb up, grab her by her hair, pull her over the fence, and beat the shite out of her. Make sure when the cops and paramedics arrive that her unconscious body is at least 1' past her new fence. Tell them you thought she was a burglar.

In order for me to believe this story, I require a pic of the fence, with your foot used as a reference for the disputed property.

Not reading through 6 pages, but you need to also protect your dog. This woman sounds crazy enough to poison it.

If the tree bisects the property line (or even is all yours) and she's responsible for trimming it on her side, why can she not trim it back all the way to the property line regardless of what it may or may not do to the tree?
Unless she has full ownership of the tree, which she doesn't, the law makes it clear that she can cut back limbs and even roots, so long as she does not endanger the health of the tree nor destabilize the tree by making it out of balance to one side and creating a hazard. In a perfect world, an arborist would have been consulted and advised on the best way to cut back limbs and preserve the health of the tree. We're talking a very large oak tree, so you don't just decide to cut off one half of the tree and leave all the weight on the other side of the tree and not expect it to eventually fall as a result of being unbalanced to one side.

I would be very careful with leaving your dog outside. She might kill it out of spite. Yes call the cops.

Thanks for that idea! Much better than the dog poo. At least it lasts longer than the dog poo.

Oh, I'll be sure and tell my friend about it.

Are you nuts? You think I want the fence to come down? I want every barrier there is between me and her.

Because you can't put one back up yourself?

Your plan is good though. Just keep ignoring the lady who's been harassing you for ten years and expect her to just go away. Sounds like a plan.
