Please don't try the Comite/Thompson Creek area. Years ago, I had some good friends die in that river. The bottom is very sandy, and will suck you in.

I think that is the gator that came out of the pond right next to Thompson Creek around Jackson LA.

It's illegal to go to the comite while it's not illegal to actually be in the water , and by the way the comite isn't dangerous at all

It illegal to use a powered vehicle in the Comite, boat or 4 wheeler. You can float the river with a canoe or tubes, but as always stay off the beaches cause that is private property...
