It's a weird situation. It's my sister in laws kid from...well what I think was a teenage accident. For some reasons that I haven't quit understood, the kid doesn't live with them anymore...lives with an aunt or something. my BIL and SIL are minimally competent in many facets of life so it kinda makes sense. Anyway...she doesn't spend anytime with her mom, and I have never met the person she does spend time with, but I hope they do even a few minutes of research into this weird arse world
