Any BR Golfers Ever Hear This Name?

Ned LePrimmer. An uncle of mine who grew up around Baton Rouge golf courses used to hear the name "Ned LePrimmer" thrown around a lot when people were playing bad.
I've always assumed it was a made up name, but wondered if it could be based on some local golfer. Any insight?

Man I have no idea lol. But when we play now and are playing badly he says something like "We brought Ned along with us today."

Ned in the Primer.
My first baseball coach would say we looked like Ned in the Primer (1st grade) when we were making dumb mistakes.

To be like Ned in the primer, meaning “troublesome” or “rambunctious,” refers to an old series of children’s books—also known as primers—about Ned and Nancy, a mischievous boy and a straitlaced girl.

Lolol now that makes a lot of sense. One of those things that was lost in translation through the generations (I don't think I will correct the old man)
