Antiqued/old wood siding

Looking for some old wood to plank a few walls in my house. Ive been to antique district in Denham aka Frick you in da arse district.Anyways either siding or the paneling type. Help please baws.

1. Take a sawzall and cut pallet boards off nails and all.
2. Throw some steel wool in a bucket of vinegar and let it dissolve.
3. Paint boards with vinegar solution.
4. Nail boards on wall.
5. Profit

Someone was telling me about the vinegar solution. Was the ratio of water to vinegar and they said put something rusted in the solution........tell me more.

I used no water. Just two balls of steel wool and one gallon of vinegar. I did throw a couple of scoops of coffee in there. Takes about 24 hrs for the steel wool to dissolve. Painted it on the pallet boards. Makes the newer yellow pallets look old. The sawed off nails look great too. Will be doing this for walls in my outdoor kitchen.

Awesome I will give it a try. And yes coffee or the rust off the metal adds the color the guy was telling me. Maybe ill do two buckets one with rust one with coffee. Thanks for the idea I'm going to to do it for sure. I'll post pics when it's finished. Any idea best place to get the better pallets????

I just put a good coat of solution on the board and let it dry. It will take a while for the color to change. It won't change until it dries
