NBC article
Pit bulls are banned in the DC area where this took place.
“People keep having those animals, that are often killers,” Quexel said. “I don’t want this to go unpunished.”
“I want justice,” she added. “I want those animals to be caught...”

Banned? Isn’t that against the constitution or something?

I was in Court and watched a misdemeanor plea to two counts of "dog at large."
Woman's pits had gotten out numerous times, killing the neighbor's chickens, goats, and two puppies. The last time the dogs got out and killed the neighbor's pig.
$50 fine plus costs on the two counts - and the dogs were pits.
Judge asked the woman what she was going to do re: the dogs, and she said she put up an electric fence.
Judge couldn't order restitution because the charge could not be probated.

Shame to blame it on the "breed" and not the owner....but the "owner" always seems to be too stupid to know better. If every Pit on earth was disposed of tomorrow .... I would raise a dilly dilly.
