change your title- the bike had nothing to do with this. She was a pedestrian

She had gone out there to ride her bike. She was walking her broken BIKE.

But she was a pedestrian walking her broken bike back, so I would say the bike had something to do with it.
Stuff like this is why I decided to not get a road bike and will only ride my bike on bike/walking paths. Too many people driving not paying full attention to the roads these days. I'd rather not die at the hands of a soccer mom texting while driving her Tahoe.

She had a great personality. I had the pleasure of meeting her. Very laid back and joking constantly. She was Harvard grad but you'd never know it unless some one told you.

I would not call this a "bike accident", as she was not on her bike when the accident happened. That said, as a rider for many years, I always hate to hear these stories. Thoughts out to her family.

that's horrible. i'm glad we have bike routes here, that have very minimal traffic interaction. even though I ride frequently, I don't place blame on either side (cyclist or driver), because accidents happen, but unfortunately when they do happen, the result is usually very bad for the cyclist.
