I submit that believing we're the only ones out here is incredibly humble. If the odds are in favor of there being other intelligent life out there, the odds probably also favor that there' at least one many that is many multiples more advanced than us.

Should such a species exist, I consider it incredibly unlikely that we would be in existence now. I'd suggest we instead would have been wiped out, especially if they're capable/willing to travel close enough for UFO spotings.

It is my humility towards our ability to withstand a more advanced species that leads me to believe one must not exist.

Unless they have a more tangible relationship with God.

Nahhhh bruh. They got alien rules that forbid them from interfering with a planets population in any way. They simply load up the kid aliens in the UFO and bus them around from planet to planet to "ooooooooo" and "ahhhhhh" at the inhabitants.

Not unlike we do with zoos.

We're just stop 13 on the interplanetary zoo route.

You're uneducated, as are most in this thread.

Other intelligent life forms would not need to 'wipe out' life on Earth..

If there is intelligent life, they would literally be time travelling, in that event, the other intelligent life would know that Earth, and life on it, was doomed from the get go.

Enjoy your time here.

This isn't even possible.

They're out there and we will be too.

you honestly aren't taking time into consideration. The earth not being the center of the universe is an idea that hasn't been around that long. Dude, flight is still in it's infancy to us

If faster than light travel proves to be something that is impossible, what kind of time frames for traveling from nearby to mid distance systems are we talking about?

That is a concept that is impossible to us. Being that time is relative, how are we to know how old any civilization truly is? There could be civilizations as old as our planet, relatively

You are talking about the need of a space traveler to be reptilian-like cold blooded that can stay in hibernation for the duration. I doubt the current human species will be able to make those trips.

If you were to somehow be able to travel at say .99 the speed of light, it would still take you (from the point of view of an outside observer) about 100,000 years to travel from one end of the galaxy to the other. And that is just traveling in a straight line from one end to the other. It doesn't count for stopping and poking around to see what's going on.

Well since they have been working with aliens for 50 years wtf? Why now?

Seriously, it is not even a good secret among intelligence agencies. They are fricking here now. They have always been here.

It's is not one group either it is a lot of different groups
