I had an Art teacher in the 7th grade who would trace the writing on Warhol's tombstone with a white construction paper and charcoal. He would then sell them to his buddy in NYC for $50. The friend would sell them on the streets of Manhattan for $100.
We asked "Who would pay $100 for that?" He said people in New York will buy anything.
I sure hope Warhol's family never showed up when my teacher was doing that.

I dunno about Warhol or Pollack, but Salvador Dali (at least as the character was played in Midnight in Paris) was pretty cool.

Beauty and "good art" are in the eye of the beholder.
I am a big fan of Basquiat, Chuck Close, Dali, Damien Hirst, and lots of others. I also like a lot of Warhol's work. Some of it may seem simple or "anybody could do that". I disagree. It is not just about what you see, his work gets your wheels turning if you let it. Love his Elvis-es The same can be said for Jeff Koons or Lichtenstein or Ed Ruscha (I am a fan of all three). I am also a fan of more classic/Renaissance artists...and religious/God/Devil subject matter...and graffiti (Banksy is
so is some of the work on freight trains)...and some performance art. They all move the needle for me.
I don't care for abstract paintings (need to have some form) or some of the junk-style installations that have been common since the 80s as much as the aforementioned. To each his own.

Warhol sucked dick. Literally.
Are we going to judge an artist by which ones sucked dick? I doubt he was the only one.

David Bowie didn’t write a fantastic song titled “Jackson Pollack.” Advantage: Andy Warhol.
To boot, Warhol once partied with “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes at a club in New York City after a WWF card at Madison Square Garden. It’s no contest, really.

Hitting close to home, I'll bet you're an artist in real life.

One of the earliest signs that Western Civilization was beginning to collapse was when this…
… was celebrated as high art.

Uh no
I don’t like shitty art
I like good art
I’d never vandalize art even art I hate
Much less for some dumb political cause

"Beauty", yes.
"Good art", no.
Basquiat was a hack who owes his career to virtue-signaling, stupid white people.
His work was garbage.
