I tried to tell her, her Church only started in 1500.

By that logic, shouldn't we all be Hindus or following ancient Sumerian beliefs?

How boring isn’t a measurement for how “holy” the church is

How many times they say "brother" could be though right? Seems like a lot at a Baptist church.

If you can't get on the same page about this now... don't get married.

Neither of you is right or wrong it turns out.

Is there a Catholic church around your area that has a younger congregation?

Usually it's the Sunday evening mass. It is geared towards the younger parishioners (teens, college age).

The Sunday evening mass is more charismatic, and the music is more uplifting than the morning masses.

This response isnt directed at you but its pretty comical how everyone thinks all non-denominational or protestant churches are either woke or Righteous gemstone type crap. As if only Catholics or Orthodox can be devout, biblically based Christians.

It's not necessarily a bad analogy. Depending on what flavor she is, she may see Catholics as the literal antichrist. There are some funky brands of Christianity out there for sure.

I would advise a compromise. One weekend you go together to Catholic Mass and then the next week you attend her church services. There is always daily mass you can attend if you have a concern about not receiving the Eucharist every Sunday. At the same time you would be meeting your Sunday obligation.

If you are lucky, maybe she comes around to your side of things, if not then you may have to spend services apart.

My mother is Catholic and my father is Baptist. Growing up I would alternate weekends until I was 7. My parents then gave myself and my sister at that age the choice to decide which denomination we wanted to belong to. Both of us happened to choose Catholicism and were baptized at age 7. You may have to do something similar after you are married and have children.

Do you think that the Sunday evening Mass time would interest her?

Explain to her that it is a younger congregation and it is very uplifting.

Yeah I'm sure God is worried about what you wear to church over the relationship one has with him.
