Amazon notice of a missed delivery

I got an email this morning saying the USPS attempted to deliver my package to me but the business was closed. When I opened the tracking it said the attempted delivery was at 5:54 AM this morning. This has to be an error, right? No way USPS is out and about delivering shite to businesses at 6:00 in the morning.

Definitely an error. Some dipshit at USPS scanned your package with the wrong status update selected. Amazon only knows what tracking tells them.

I've had this happen before and it was delivered later. Someone at USPS scanning it hit something wrong. Only happens with the incompetent USPS.

If the package was from Austin, maybe don't take delivery..

This is standard practice now. If it's getting late in the day and they're not going to make it to your place, they get on the tablet and mark it as a failed delivery attempt.

I know they get "fined" from Amazon when packages aren't delivered by 8:00 and so they will just scan all the packages as delivered and then bring it the next day. Could be something similar where they had way too many packages to deliver and the amazon ones they just went ahead and marked as attempted so they wouldn't have to deal with it today.

"someone" tried to deliver to my office at 4am a couple weeks ago. Package showed up later in the day. Of course the USPS marks things as "undeliverable" or "no gate code" (i dont have a gate) all the damned time. they suck
