2.895 million-square-foot warehouse

Just for a size reference, the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans has only 1.1 million square feet of exhibit space. If you include all the other space that supports the exhibit space, the whole thing is about 3 million square feet.

That's a fricking massive warehouse they plan to build.

I bet those frickers are still going to take three days to deliver two-day Prime deliveries and one out of ten are still going to go to the wrong house.

Curious, does anyone know how this going to affect traffic in the area? Is there any plans on additional infrastructure?

I would imagine that there will be some accommodation by the city and the state to upgrade whatever infrastructure is necessary. Amazon is going to level the entire property and go vertical with all mew structures. The way the existing roadway circles LLC the way around the mall is perfect layout.

While on the surface this seems like a good idea, Amazon is a plague. Probably would be best if asbestos made its way to that site instead.

It’s a company that is funded by the CCP
It’s awful that with the new administration coming you will see more and more investing done by the CCP
These giant corporations will simply be mouth pieces for the CCP

Anyone working for these companies are CCP sympathizers
I don’t know how anyone would be able to sleep at night

I don't know for sure, but I would imagine this would be a large priority for Amazon, especially a distribution center. I would imagine they wouldn't be interested in the deal without it.

Come on man, there are already 4 loops right at that intersection.

Hopefully other companies can use it if Amazon goes the way of Sears in 50 years.

It’s hard enough to repurpose a 1 million square foot mall. A 3 million square foot DC would be even more challenging. That’s bigger than the Nissan plant in Canton, MS.
