Sad story but at least she survived. Accidents happen and dangerous activities will lead to worse injuries when those accidents occur.

Couple summers ago, we went cliff jumping at Green Mountain Reservoir when we were in the area for my son's 10th birthday. Went off the highest one there which they say was around 45-50 ft at the time, since the reservoir was up at normal pool. Kids did the 20 ft cliff which was plenty. Can get to as much as 70 ft when the level is down. Obviously, you have to understand the risk because there is plenty of danger involved. We swam around checking for rocks and shallow areas first. Crossing your feet is also a good idea to prevent the dreaded enema. Just read where they have now officially closed it due to a death last year. Green Mountain Death
