I get 37 weeks off each year, unpaid.

Do sick days come from the same pto pool?

I get 4-weeks a year, 1 floating holiday, and 5 paid sick days: so 5 weeks and a day.
Additionally, every 5 years I get 6-weeks sabbatical on top of my normal vacation package, but sabbatical must be taken as 6-weeks and not broken up or carried over.
Pretty nice.

I get about 5.1 hours per week. Adds up to 33 days PTO with an additional 11 paid holidays and 1 “floating holiday”. I’ve been there 17 years with an additional 4 years of service added for bachelors degree. This puts me in the 20 year PTO tier, the highest. You can bank your time up to 150% of your total. I’m in my last semester of grad school and I’ve been hoarding PTO in anticipation of taking a lot of trips next year.
We don’t get sick time but it’s accepted that you can work from home if you just have mild illness or a sick kid to watch. It’s all very generous and it’s honestly the thing I like most about my job. I like what I do (scientist-animal health product R&D), but they really sweeten the pot with work life balance and time off.

That is an AWESOME benefit. Paid?

For me, 27 PTO days (no separate sick time) 2 floating holidays, 7 holidays and performance incentives that can earn up to an extra week. So I can max out at 41 days paid off a year.

I work half the year and a salary on my days off. The other half the year is a day rate when working.
