Besides a beach, the proposal outlined a restaurant, seminar room, snack bar, raised deck, and a swimming pool for Algiers Point's now-quiet riverfront.

Meh it will be fricked up on the wank. I'm more interested with Tips' South Shore Harbor festival ground project.

It looks like it's gonna happen unlike the other projects. Planning commission approved it and it has the right people backing it.

The Fillmore, milenburg, and Ponch park neighborhoods all the way to the industrial canal right there are all making huge strides. It will be cool for that area to get something cool like this. I know a couple people in their 30s that have moved in the are just in the past year.

Is the beach supposed to be on the river on the river side of the levee?

It's a damn shame too, but you're spot on. What a waste of a riverfront
