Seriously though, the only two things that will stop the shakes dead in their tracks, in my experience, are:
1. A drink (just one will work)
or
2. Benzos
Wouldn't mix the two before a meeting though

It's called delirium tremens.
It's from alcohol withdrawal, if you only drank yesterday that's odd you'd have those symptoms.
Other than alcohol, benzo's like Valium and Ativan are usually prescribed for withdrawal. Any anti-anxiety med that's a benzo would work.

I'm going thru extreme withdraw now prescribed Lorazepam every three hours. Be carefull if you try to stop cold turkey death can occur on day three. it's well known in medical examiner and coroner circles. This is for heavy everday drinkers
