Well I can tell you for a 100% fact that a fresh college grad working for shell made more than 70k
I can vouch for that also. They are so fresh they smell like a new car.

My concentration as an undergrad was wildlife law enforcement. Wanted to become a game warden for LDWF. Got a student job at LDWF Headquarters in the Enforcement division and was set for the next academy. In the meantime I got a job at school working for Delta Waterfowl. Fell in love and decided I wanted to stay on the research side of things.
Stayed doing that for a while and got to go to ND and do some field work. After that I got a job through the USGS helping PhD students with research on submersed aquatic vegetation in the Gulf states. Then that got me my job now, which is working on the Whooping Crane reintroduction project.
This was supposed to lead to a waterfowl research project in New Mexico for graduate school, but that obviously has fallen through. I wouldn't mind moving into consulting. Seems like the next logical step. Either that or something dealing with coastal restoration projects.
I've said too much now. My identity is compromised
