ACT prep courses

Any reccs on a good ACT prep course? TIA

Paying attention in school for the previous twelve years is probably the number one prep course.
That's what I did, then freshened up in the areas where I scored poorly. I scored 26 on the first round, then scored 31 on the second round.

Throw a rock at anyone on the OT, and that person should be a suitable tutor. Every single poster here scored over a 30.

Not doing any prep work and showing up to the testing center either hungover and/or with the flu seems to be the common thread of the OTers with composites in the 32+ range.

Kaplan or Princeton Review. They probably have a classroom course if you're in/near a major city, or your kid can just do it online. I took one for the PSAT and a couple for the SAT, but none for the ACT, so I can't vouch for their quality, though I imagine they're comparable.

Brothers son has taken it 3x and not significantly improved score. Average student that usually does not do well on standardized tests. I took it many moons ago and did very well with no prep. Just wondering if anyone had experience with these courses and their thoughts, especially with students that struggle with the standardized format.

you'd do better to get a private tutor to help him in weak areas
I do private ACT tutoring as a side gig from time to time. My students typically see good improvement. I think this speaks more to the fact that I help to identify their weak areas and we work on that rather than speaking on how intelligent I am.
